Hello, Everyone! First outfit post post-pregnancy, post-baby. On this blog, I mean. If you follow me on Instagram, then you've seen a few selfies already. I've always wanted to wear an ostrich skirt! Faux, of course. There are different ways I'd wear this fluffy thing, but I really wanted to wear it in a semi-casual way, so I paired it with a white shirt. Not just any white shirt, a white shirt with tabs on the sleeves, okay. To tell you the truth, I wanted to wear a bow tie that matches the skirt as well, but I didn't have the time to go hunt for it. And yes, I would totally go out in public in the complete outfit I had in mind! #MyChoice =D
Since I can't reply to all comments & emails, I thought I should answer some frequently asked questions that I've received in the last 6 months in this post as well.....
You will see in these pics that this skirt is a bad idea if you don't have a flat tummy. During pregnancy, my weight went up from around 39-40 kgs up to about 58 kgs. I was ecstatic every time my weight increased at the time, because it meant my baby was growing nicely. Now, my weight is 49 kgs. I finally have curves, I can buy branded jeans (Before, only the ones from China or Thailand fitted me!) The only reason I'd want to lose weight is to be able to fit into a lot of my old clothes- some never worn! And of course my tummy still has to go in - way in. I'm haven't started working out yet, because I still feel some pain in my tummy when I overexert myself. So, in short, I'm in no rush to lose weight. I eat whatever I want. All of us new Moms need to cut ourselves some slack, coz eating well and getting more sleep is way important than a little weight gain. Plus, I think carrying my bundle of joy (who's probably 10 kgs now!) everyday is exercise enough ;p (Even people who are bigger than me think he's very heavy!)
However, I'm following a few things to help me get rid of the unwanted flab:
ONE: Tie your tummy. When I'd gone to my hometown in December, most kept asking me if I tied my tummy after delivery. I knew about it, but I'd forgotten & regret not doing it ASAP! Basically, you wear something fitted & kind of tight around your tummy - usually a wrap, belt or corset. I bought a wide belt with velcro right after delivery from Mom & Me, which my Doctor advised me to use after C-Section. It hurt less when I coughed, laughed & while shifting in bed. I wear it for a few hours whenever I can. I also wear these pants I ordered from Jabong by Rattrap (I have them in black, but they're available in 2-3 colors) They work great during pregnancy as well as after pregnancy. I also got a fancy black satin & lace panty corset, which, funnily, I can't fit into easily - when I tried them the first time, my cousin sister had to put them on for me...and then get me out of them! =D
TWO: I try to eat at least half a lemon everyday. I squeeze lemon juice in green salad, and also mint leaves. I have only vegetable soup consisting of carrots, beans & potatoes with rice on most days. I resist even looking at cheese & peanut butter!
THREE: A cup of Red Tea an hour, or so, after dinner. By red tea, I just mean Tetley tea without milk. I can't explain why, but I believe it can prevent fat from forming. It sounds cray, I know....haha! It is also amazing when you're having cramps, headache, food poisoning, and I know some doctors recommend drinking only red tea after stomach operations.
FUTURE: I'll start Yoga & kickboxing sometime this year.
How old are you?
I am 33 & will be 34 next month. Believe me when I say this - 30's are so much better than your 20's ;)
Is it difficult to get pregnant in your 30's?
Well, it depends from woman to woman & I wouldn't really know. I know someone who got pregnant at 37 years, another who got pregnant at 39. I got pregnant at 32. For me personally, I feel early 30's is best age to start having kids. My Rule: Marriage is for late 20's & babies are for early 30's.
I've been trying to get pregnant & it's just not happening. Do you have any advice & tips?
I'm so sorry to hear that. My heart aches every time I hear a woman is having difficulty conceiving. Sometimes, when being a parent becomes really challenging, I begin to crib and then I think about the women who are constantly trying, and I appreciate being a Mom more. I really don't know any tips except: find out what's preventing it from happening, get help from a doctor, and never stop trying. If you've watched the show Sex & The City, there's an episode where Charlotte went to an Acupuncture doctor. I've read that Acupuncture can boost fertility. Of course there's IVF, which, I think, would be my first choice if. I've also heard about women who help fertility by frequently massaging the stomach using special techniques - they call it 'making everything sit well', and these massages can also prevent miscarriages, and make delivery easy too. I believe these people are gifted, and are meant for this line of work. But I'd choose wisely, and go to someone with many years of experience and, most importantly, someone who's actually helped a lot of women conceive.
.Lastly, never underestimate the power of a prayer. A simple ask for help from God has gotten me out of the most traumatic, life-threatening & most difficult situations. Even with my 1st pregnancy, there were some things I specially prayed for, and they were kindly answered. I know some people don't believe in God, and that's okay. To each his own. I just thought I'd mention it.
That is as far as I know, so please forgive me if I'm wrong in anything I said. I only talked about the things I would personally look into. If you have any other tips, please share!
Hope you won't stop blogging now that you're busy being a Mom! I miss you posting everyday.
I will never stop blogging! I miss posting often too, believe me. Truth is, I can post anything for the sake of posting & traffic/page views. But I don't want to, because it's never been about that. I want to talk to you all & tell silly stories. For example, this post. I could have written an intro, posted pictures, wrote the outfit details & said bye bye. But no, I had to include FAQS and chit chat about movies & tv shows too.....and take a week to edit it!
Good News: I will be posting everyday again starting today!

What's the origin & meaning of Ziizayne?
Originated from my little head... haha! I wanted an uncommon name. Okay, a new name. I Googled and searched hashtags on Instagram to make sure Ziizayne wasn't already taken. Zii like Wii (Nintendo Game Console), because Mr.CZ loves it. Zayne means God is Gracious. I wanted to come up with a meaning too, because everybody keeps asking us, but making up my own "meaning" sounds a bit weird, no? If you all can come up with a meaning, please do tell! =)
He turned 6 Months Old today! :* :*
(That means I have exactly 6 months to plan his 1st Birthday! :O)
Got his zebra outfit (that came with a hat) from AliExpress last year. Was no use in winter, and now I doubt it'll fit him again!
Fun Fact:Zebra & Ostrich ~ Zebras and Ostriches look out for each other. Zebra's have a great sense of smell and hearing but they have poor eye sight. While the ostrich has great vision but not great hearing or smell. They often travel together and warn each other when danger is coming. Each animal benefiting from the strength of the other animal. They work effectively together to protect each other from predators. (Pure Coincidence, btw =))
Why don't you ever put up photos of Mr.CZ & What does he do?
Because I've always wanted to keep that part of my life private + he doesn't want to be part of my online life, tbh. But who knows, maybe someday....
Currently, he's into programming, and is developing mobile apps. So proud of him for having completed his 1st game, in spite of all the craziness that came with a baby. Most of all, I'm proud of him for following his dream - took a course and studied all over again.... worked hard....and is now developing his 2nd game already! Ah, the Virgo discipline, I tell you. Totally inspiring!
His first mobile game is called Saving Lollipop......
Basically, you have to shoot those bees and some more enemies by swiping candy bullets from that candy bowl. It's very cute!
I helped him with the sound effects+some little things that only us girls can obsess about ;p
If you'd like to play it, you can download it for FREE from Google Play. It's only on Android right now, and not yet on IOS.
Do tag me @czloves on Instagram or Facebook with hashtags #SavingLollipop #BubbblesInc if you're playing it! =)
