Last night, we heard a weird siren sound. We thought it's some annoying car alarm (but less annoying than the one in HIMYM - when Lily & Robin were waiting outside the bridal store.) Then we saw red/blue lights flickering through the curtains. I looked out, and saw more than 15 people gathering outside, some men in yellow helmets, and 2 noisy fire trucks right outside the building attached to our building.......
Before I finish my story, let me show you some new products I'm trying out right now:
Pantene BB Creme Anti-ageing Beauty Balm For Hair ~ One day, as I was heading to the Superdrug counter to pay for my stuff, I spotted this on one of those shelves meant to tempt the customers right before the go pay. My curiosity got the better of me, and I picked it up. I've yet to use it properly, but I'm hoping it'll anti-split my hair ends. 'Inspired by skincare BB Creme, this leave-in treatment repairs your hair, tackling signs of damage and ageing, leaving it healthy-looking with a silky smooth finish.' Right now, it's £6.99 in Boots & £4.49 in Superdrug. I got it for £2-something from Superdrug... woohoo.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar A.I. Targeted Breakout Corrector ~ Bought this with my Boots points (loyalty card), when I actually needed it. It contains Niacinamide to stop the development of spots, Piroctone olamine/glycacil combination that purifies the seat of bacteria, Micro-exfoliating LHA. Claims: Purges imperfections in depth, prevents residual skin marking. I don't know if it'll live up to it's claims, but it's doing a nice job drying up and peeling a hormonal pimple right now. £9.50 | Rs.966.
Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Facial Scrub ~ With Lemon, Papaya & Caffeine. Smells amazing! Not like papaya, which is good. It's yellow & contains some seedy-type of scrubbing beads that feel quite chunky. I think I will love this. £2.66 | Rs.270
Dove Silky Creme Nourishing Body Cream ~ I've always wanted to try one of these, even in India. It really does make my skin feel silky, without any greasiness. It's not hydrating enough for body, but I use it as a night time hand cream and keep it on my nightstand. Don't remember how much this was for, but I got it on offer from Tesco. £1-2 | Rs.100-150.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Classic Beige ~ I use the Wake me Up Foundation in Soft Beige, but the concealer in Soft Beige shade looked a little pink, so I picked Classic Beige. Btw, I might try the foundation in True Nude shade next, I don't know how I didn't see it when I first got it! £5.49 | Rs.560
Maybelline The Rocket Mascara ~ Umm...don't know if I like this yet. I'm waiting for it to dry up a little bit, coz I find it too wet. I should have gotten the Waterproof version. £7.99 | Rs.814.
*I've noticed that most of my mascaras work better after a month, or so. I think I've said this before, I'm not sure. Déjà vu.
Maybelline Baby Lips in Berry Crush & Mango Pie ~ Yummy! Especially Berry Crush. Rs.150 & 125.
Maybelline The Colossal Kajal 12H Smudge Proof ~ This is an updated version. Before it was 6hrs, now 12hrs. I have not noticed any difference between the two, and I don't have the other with me to compare. But I've worn this thickly, and it set into a semi-matte finish & stayed put. I've reviewed the old version here. Rs.175.
.....I think there was a fire in an apartment. I stood between the curtain and the long glass window, until 3 students, I assume, 2 guys/1 girl, saw me and they all looked up straight at me. I guess I was hardly inconspicuous, since we're on the 1st floor and I was wearing my white jumper. Oh, gosh! What if I look like a ghost with my long unruly hair and our dimly-lit living room?! I didn't know what to do! I didn't want to seem nosy, but I'm also a concerned
citizenneighbor. I felt awkward and went back inside. But I still didn't know what was happening- next to my house! Why was that old woman talking to man in yellow helmet, and then they walked into the building together? Why did that group huddle in a circle? I googled quickly, in case there's some news about the fire in our area. Nothing. "Maybe it's a meth lab.", I said to Mr.CZ. I didn't believe it myself, but it was nice to say it. Felt like an episode of Breaking Bad.
Of course I went back between the curtain & window. Good, nobody sees me. All of them are looking at something in the building next to ours, some of them are yawning. Tch, maybe I should go outside onto the balcony, so I can.... oh, no! Another trio is looking up at me now! 3 men in the yellow helmets. Okay, bye bye.
I still don't know what went down. Sigh.
