Etude House Princess Etoinette Collection has got to be the best makeup collection that I've ever seen. Not only do the products scream luxury & vintage, they don't have repugnant price tags that deserve to be chewed by the sharks in Jaws. The creativity that went into the packaging & impeccable attention to detail make me feel intellectually inadequate, but they also made me realize how much beauty one's mind is capable of creating. Hats off to the brains behind it all- Sylvie de France (One of the 5 people I'd want to be for a day. Hello Whoever-Can-Make-It-Happen, please jot that down next to #4. Please hurry with #1. Thank You!)
But one thing that I don't get: If the collection was inspired by Marie Antoinette, why "Etoinette"? Is that another Korean princess?
Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher PK001 Pink ~ Packaging gets full ♥♥♥♥♥- no question about it. As if that wasn't enough, they threw in candy-looking heart-shaped individual blushers, which shot up its appeal by 100 heartbeats. But yes, they have to be handle with care or they'll break (I've strangled one while swatching). I bought it as a collectible item, and didn't really care about the quality of the blusher so much. I just assumed it'll be one of those chalky blushers with flyaway shimmer. But when I swirled a brush on the hearts & applied it, it turned out a nice doll pink with an iridescent glow. I was pleasantly surprised. I found the Soft Touch Powder Brush did a better job than the accompanying puff.

Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips PPK002 ~ This lipstick has a gel-like + balmy texture, which feels almost like a tinted lip balm, except it's more lightweight. My favorite kind. This shade, PPK002, was picked as one of the colors of the series. I love the sheer raspberry pink shade. Don't you think the braid design is pure genius?!
The bullet has the same E like on the packaging.

Etude House Princess Etoinette Brush Collection ~ The brushes are tucked in a fabulous pink & ivory laced pouch with rose gold faux leather piping. Wrapped around the pouch is a pink grosgrain ribbon that you can knot up in a bow. Like icing on the cake, the white bristles have pink tips! That I hope won't bleed when washed. There are 3 brushes:
- Last Touch Fan Brush ~ This is the brush that sold me this set. It's meant to be a 'last touch' brush to remove excess powder from your face, or to dab a little bit extra. But I find it's perfect for contouring, as well. It's so soft...and cute!
- Soft Touch Powder Brush ~ Soft & fluffy. Nice for powder & blush.
- Lip Gradation Brush ~ This is made with rubber, I think. At least it feels like rubber. It's flat, angled and the flat tip is sort of perforated. I tried it, and the stiffness of the rubber did make it easier to outline lips.
*Do the first 2 brushes shed? I have not washed them yet, but I did pull out about 10 loose bristles from Last Touch Fan Brush after I unboxed it.
I just wish they'd tucked in that raw rose gold edge properly.
