Apologies for the delay with the swatches, for those of you who expected to see them yesterday. I did get up early to click all the photos, but didn't have time to edit them and blog, because:
- I had to go to the mall to exchange a defective MANGO dress. Thank God, they had another one in XS! I call this dress 'good purchase of the week', can't wait to show you!=)
- I had to attend Mr.CZ's niece's birthday (7th, I think)
- Noisy kids sucked (sucked!) all the energy out of me & I was so beat by the time we reached home after 8. For the record, I don't dislike kids....but I really hate some =[
So here are the photos & swatches of the stuff I got from MAC Shop & Cook Collection.
Make Me Simmer Lipstick (Amplified Finish): Described as a bright pink orange, it is simply coral- a bright coral. If you're looking for a true coral lipstick, this is the one. It is extremely pigmented that it leaves a pinkish-coral stain - that's very difficult to get off like MAC Party Parrot Lipstick - when it wears off. The difference between the two is, this is more peach & Party Parrot is more pink. To me, Make Me Simmer is the most unique shade from the collection. Price- Rs.990.
MAC Watch Me Simmer Lipstick
MAC Florida Cremeblend Blush: At first I thought about getting Kissable Lip Color in So Vain instead of this, but I'm so glad I got this instead. I always wanted a true blue-toned hot pink blush, and this one is just perfect (cooler than NYX Hot Pink Cream Blush). I like it better than So Sweet, So Easy. What's great about this is you can wear it on your lips too, and it feels really lightweight & feels velvety-matte. I also love how smooth & non-sticky it is. Price- Rs.1350.
Florida Cremeblend Blush (I was swatching one after another quickly, hence the flaky lips)
Hot ' n' Saucy Tendertone Lip Balm SPF 12: When Tendertones came out with a collection, I bought 2 (which are still almost full, btw) & I really wanted them to be permanents. Hot 'n' Saucy looks so YUM, like jam. It is a glossy lip balm that is a tad sticky, and it does moisturize my lips. I don't like dipping my finger in it, so a lip brush is necessary for this. If you ask me, 1000 bucks is exorbitant for a lip balm. You can get Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Fire, and it'll look similar- better even. But it won't come in a jar, it won't look as yummy, and it won't smell sweet. Price- Rs.1000.

Watch Me Simmer, Florida, Hot 'n' Saucy
I love everything I got from this collection. I'm only disappointed, very disappointed, over the plain MAC black packaging is. Imagine how awesome it would have been had they made them gingham & colorful & polka dot ^.^. I feel MAC should really make a little bit of effort with the packaging of their "Limited Editions" (like they did with Give Me Liberty), instead of launching more & more & more.... collections that are hard to keep up with.
Shop MAC, Cook MAC is a Limited Edition Collection, so if you want anything, go get it before it's sold out!
