Modern Mumtaz Mahal (Queen of the Taj Mahal) Look

This is my depiction of a Mumtaz Mahal of today. Well...sort of, coz I don't have a crown. But even the Queen of England doesn't wear a crown all the time, does she? I don't know. Anyways, this could easily be an Indian Bridal look too so maybe you'll be inspired if you're getting married soon.

Who is Mumtaz Mahal?
She was the wife of Shah Jahan- the emperor who built the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world, for her. She was his favorite out of 3 wives at the time! Three! Mumtaz Mahal died in 1631 AD while giving birth to theit 14th child. Fourteenth! :O. Read more about her here

She is one of the people from history that I'd like to meet because I find her very intriguing. I mean, she's got to have some magical powers, no? I really really want to ask her....(to be continued)

Face ~ Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Primer, MUFE HD Foundation, MAC Studio Finish Concealer, Laura Mercier Undercover Pot, Body Shop Loose Powder.

Cheeks ~ Inglot Face Blush #32, The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder #02.

Eyes: 2 sea green & black eyeshadows from 120 palette, MAC Impeccably Rich Big Bounce Shadow (Gold) on inner corners, Buck & Naked from Naked Palette blended on crease, Maybelline HyperSharp Liner, False Lashes, Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara on top & bottom lashes.

Maang tika (head accessory) is an Accessorize necklace. Remember how gaga I was over it? Well, I planned to wear it on my head from the start :). Post here
For those who are not familiar with Indian traditional attire, what I'm wearing is called a 'Lehenga'. I've worn it only once before- to a relative's wedding, a couple years back.
I did this look in such a hurry that my bangles were combined very randomly :)

"Eternal Love"

(cont)...I want to ask her, "What did you do to deserve....THIS? Teach me. Please. Your Majesty."

I want a life-sized dollhouse full of makeup, jewelry, shoes & bows, all built in my honor & I want to be buried in it! Don't worry, I won't haunt you all when you come to play dress up.

A Very Happy Dussehra to all my fellow Indians! :)

♥ Cynthia Z ^.^

  5. Nothing much - she just had a really great husband! Ooh wait, she had 13 kids, maybe that is the key to a gift of Taj Mahal proportions :-P

I ♥ finding little notes in my Vanity Case, so do drop one. I read all of them & I try my best to reply to each & every one of them [check back in 2-3 days =D] but most times it's physically impossible! Either way, I love to hear from you & really appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts <3

Thank you for reading! :)
